I, Evan VanDerwerker, am a soon-to-be college graduate and a determined, distinguished, and dogged…quarter-time blogger. I am a super skilled (and humble) graphic designer and content creator; though, I seek to make a career of marketing communications.

Fun facts…

On a lighter note, here are some fun facts about yours truly:

• I have watched approximately 87.6% of all programming currently on Netflix.
• During one 48 hour period, I played 14 full games of Monopoly—I won 8.
• Though I am the second eldest of 5 siblings, I am the first awesomest (and the third best speller).
• I pride myself on being the suave, sophisticated—yet, snarky—kid who always sits in the back of the classroom.
• In a recent lunch meeting with a Hollywood executive, I proposed television series idea I have about teenage anthropomorphic ninja turtles. It went well.

About this blog…

This blog began in 2011 as my ticket-to-stardom-and-easy-cash. With my advanced knowledge of Google Adsense,  I made a staggering $8.07 in the first six months. After realizing that blogging took a bit more than posting cheesy jokes—jokes not understood by anyone who hasn’t seen every episode of Desperate Housewives—I went on hiatus.

Now I am back! And, I’m back with a better perception of “what it takes to be a star”!

This blog is dedicated to presenting marketing communications professionals with industry information and recent trends and providing the industry with a medium for sharing experiences, opinions, and discovered strategies.
